Investigative journalist Seymour Hersh is at it again. The man who uncovered the My Lai massacre in Vietnam by US soldiers, and brought to light the terrible goings-on in Abu Ghraib prison, and who also helped to uncover the CIA’s secret ‘rendition’ flights scheme, said that he now has evidence that former vice-president Dick Cheney ran his very own assassination ring.
Yes, that’s right: just like in Robert Ludlum’s seminal ‘The Bourne Identity’ book series. An entire group of Matt Damon-esque assassins running around and whacking people who apparently were on Cheney’s on shitlist. All in secret, without anybody knowing. It was stopped, the rear admiral who ran if for Cheney said, because there were “too many collateral casualties”.
