Krugman sets record straight about Europe

Yet another right-wing opinionmaker slams Europe for being, well, European. Fortunately, economist and Nobel prize laureate Paul Krugman sets him straight. But I fear that the damage has been done, and that the people who read the right-wing commentator’s writings by default ignore Krugman’s articles.

I think you will find that he has misidentified my data source and misread the data source that he does cite.

I’m sorry, Mr Manzi,

But you’re just plain wrong. Take this from a European: Europe does not include territory “west of the Urals”. And no, I don’t care what an American dictionary says.
